spying

Just now as I was tucking Garrett into bed...

Garrett - Hey Mom?
Me - Yeah?
Garrett - I don't like it when you come up and check on me after I'm asleep.  Don't do it anymore, okay?
Me (totally confused) -  Huh?
Garrett - Just don't check on me anymore at night, okay?
Me - I don't get it...do I wake you up when I come in here?
Garrett - No.  It just feels like you're spying on me.

Now I'm going to lay in bed at night...wondering if my children are sleeping okay...if their covers are pulled up...if they're about to fall off the bed...if they just need one more kiss on the cheek???  All because my little ones are paranoid and think I spy on them!

No, you won't wonder. I bet you'll check on them. You'll plant that last kiss, and you'll sleep well knowing that you left them fully on their beds. We mothers can't help "spying." Garrett is so funny...

Gotta love that excuse, when Sam says it, it's because he's trying to read when he's supposed to be sleeping. It's a dead giveaway that he's got a little plan in his head whenever he says something like that.

It's been way too long since I've caught up on here, and this post just cracks me up!! It sounds like something my boys would say. Gotta love it :) Glad to "see" you all!
